Message From Our New Chairman

Message From Our New Chairman

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I would like to thank you all for electing me as your chairman for this year. Before I took this position I spoke with many members and leaders of the FCRC and other associations in the area asking what they would like to see from our organization. One of the biggest responses was for growth and strength.

In my eyes, this is a powerful statement and one that we need to set our goals for. It means that the leaders and active members in our community believe in our organization, …

150th Anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s ‘Gettysburg Address’

150th Anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s ‘Gettysburg Address’

Today marks 150 years since our first Republican president Abraham Lincoln gave his historic address at Gettysburg. Today we’re still fighting to uphold our nation’s founding principles and ensure “that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.”

Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.

Now we are engaged in a great …

Obenshain: Attorney General Race Not Over Yet!

Obenshain: Attorney General Race Not Over Yet!

A message from Republican Attorney General candidate Mark Obenshain:

At this stage, we are in the closest statewide election in Virginia history. The State Board of Elections currently estimates a difference of fewer than 200 votes out of more than 2 million votes cast. That’s less than 1/100th of a percent difference. With the completion of the canvass of local boards, we have finished two of the three automatic steps of vote counting. The State Board of Elections will now conduct its own review, scheduled to …

Congratulations to Our Delegates!

Congratulations to Our Delegates!

Republicans in Fauquier made an impressive showing this past Election Day to propel all of our House of Delegates nominees back into office. Delegates Michael Webert (18th), Scott Lingamfelter (31st), and Mark Cole (88th) all picked up an impressive number of votes in the Fauquier precincts they represent compared to their 2011 races.

Young Republican club member Del. Webert crushed his opponent by 24 points! And he picked up over 3,000 more voters than in the last election. The people of Fauquier obviously saw past the …
